A 150 gallon fish tank is set-up every year for educational purposes.

Canoes will be provided for your leisure and/or to teach you how to use one.

2024 kickapoo creek festival schedule

On-site camping is encouraged Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. 

No driving is permitted in the camping area after dusk.

Friday August 9th

Festival kicks off at 5PM with live music to start at 5:30

  • 5:30 PM – 10:15 PM --- Live music by four local performers.
  • 7:30 PM – 12:00 AM --- Bonfire is lit.
  • 8:00 PM – 09:30 PM --- Kid movies projected onto the barn.

Saturday August 10th

Main day for events! All vendors will be open on Saturday.

  • 09:00 AM – 04:00 PM --- Panther Creek Survival and Life Skills Demonstration. 
  • 09:00 AM – 04:00 PM --- Children’s activities at the Green Mothership by Brittany Wagley and friends.
  • 10:00 AM – 01:00 PM --- Introduction to Fly Fishing, offered by HOI Sierra Club and Oak Brook Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
  • 10:00 AM – 01:00 PM --- Make your own prayer sticks and Native American dolls by Ellida Lakota.
  • 10:00 AM – 02:00 PM --- What are Your Ideas about the future of the Kickapoo Creek Watershed?

                                                          A public input opportunity by Baxter & Woodman Inc and Tri County Regional Planning Commitee.

  • 01:00 PM – 04:00 PM --- Solar Viewing by Peoria Astronomical Society.
